OGSystems, a government contractor, hired FOX Architects to help them redesign their new office space. During the programming phase, the biggest challenge was revealed. The contractor could not provide a forecast as to what kind of growth they would experience in five years or what other industries they may enter years later. They needed a space to accommodate their evolution and match their entrepreneurial culture, and it was up to the design firm to help them figure it out.
The FOX Architects team created a space that could support their rapidly growing business. The new space included a multi-functional collaborative stair to encourage connectivity between floors and interaction between people. Other spaces were created to reinforce different work styles, such as the Boost Pub where staff could go to recharge and socialize, and the Hideaway where others go for heads-down work. High top bar seating was developed for those who wanted to stand while they worked and a variety of conference rooms were designed to meet every need.
OGSystems’ new space is much more efficient, and better supports and represents their evolved culture and progressive business strategy.
