The HON Company, a designer and manufacturer of inspiring office furniture, sought to relocate and expand its DC showroom space to better serve its current client base and pursue new markets with a prominent location in the heart of DC’s business district.
As an expression of crisp contrasts and linear lighting, HON’s DC showroom demonstrates how architecture, smart planning, and HON furniture can converge to make great workplaces. We created curves within the architecture to signal the curving lowercase ‘N’ in The HON Company’s logo. The reception “plaza” was inspired by the National Mall, including the HON logo, which is prominently displayed on a grassy, raised platform at the heart of the space — echoing the real monuments mere blocks away. Open ceilings and a neutral palette showcase HON’s extensive portfolio of furniture products. Thoughtful pops of HON’s signature green are interwoven throughout the design to reinforce the organization’s prestigious and unique brand identity.
The HON Company’s new showroom better serves its clients while showcasing innovative office furniture products and playfully reflecting its brand.
