Reno & Cavanaugh wanted a highly flexible law office to reflect their lively, nontraditional workstyle. They also wanted their nontraditional theme to be apparent to clients upon entering the space and were looking to create an environment that supported the firm’s sustainability goals. An office design with a flat hierarchy was also a goal of the project.
To maximize flexibility and reinforce the egalitarian atmosphere that Reno & Cavanaugh wanted, FOX Architects adopted a universal-sized office standard. We created a central hub of support services, including a library, pantry, and copy area, making these services more accessible and promoting employee interaction. Instead of a formal receptionist desk, administrative staff welcome visitors and clients in an inviting seating area. Our project achieved a LEED-Silver rating.
We implemented the universal office size to provide Reno & Cavanaugh a high degree of flexibility in their space. We reinforced an urban industrial aesthetic with sustainable design principles to achieve the nontraditional, forward-thinking environment the firm wanted.
