When BP America, a leading energy company, evolved their work environment from a primarily-closed space to a semi-open floor plan, they hired FOX Architects to create a modern, progressive office that aligns with their work.
Our design team balanced collaborative spaces with individual work areas. Team rooms, an informal lounge, and large pantry offer places to gather in teams, while workstations with high partitions facilitate heads-down, focused work. To support BP’s brand and mission, our team created a photo-mosaic wall comprised of 616,896 images culled from BP’s archives, giving visitors and employees a visual representation of the company’s identity.
BP America’s new space is an inspirational and welcoming environment for both staff and visitors alike. Our design strategies earned LEED®-CI Platinum certification, which at the time, was only the second space in the greater Washington region and 13th in the country to achieve this level of certification.
