Bonner Kiernan Trebach & Crociata LLP is a law firm with a national practice helping to counsel their clients through tenacious litigation. Their new office showcases their design shift from a traditional law firm space to a more open and progressive workstyle. The primary challenges of the project were to improve the reception and large conference room functionality, integrate a more amenity rich café proximate to the conference center and increase levels of collaboration in support staff areas.
The design team proposed a 180-degree flip of Bonner Kiernan’s reception and boardroom to the east side of the building. This enabled them to achieve a larger column free boardroom that could be subdivided. The new reception area allows more natural light to filter into the space and provides for improved conference center break out. The firm also desired to improve the level of collaboration in their employee café. The team designed a café with improved amenities that was more centralized and proximate to the conference/reception areas to stimulate interaction.
Through in-place renovations, the FOX Architects design team successfully modernized Bonner Kiernan’s traditional office space and improved the flow between reception, meeting rooms and centralized café. Their new office shifts the paradigm from a traditional law firm aesthetic to one that showcases their progressive workstyle.
