Barbaricum, a consulting firm, wanted its new office to be reflective of its “employee first” company culture. They also wanted their new space to function like a newsroom with multi-functional environments. This was a challenge given the space was a narrow, older row house with historic characteristics.
The FOX Architects design team worked closely with the general contractor to reveal the historic building’s original brick walls and wood support beams. By blending historic features with glass office fronts and large windows, the team created a space with a handsome juxtaposition of modern and rustic finishes. Utilitarian conference rooms and secure brainstorming areas were paired with a game room and café/bar to match the 24/7-client culture.
Barbaricum’s new office space was designed with every employee in mind. Their new open-concept space better reflects their culture, brand and the way they do business.
