The new owners acquired the 216,00-sq.-ft. office building, 1901 L Street, in 2017 with the intent of completely renovating the building and creating a best-in-class trophy asset in the heart of Washington, D.C. At the time of its designing, 1901 L St. was one of the first office buildings in DC that had the opportunity to take advantage of new regulations that allowed for occupiable penthouse space.
