Time Warner Cable
The design goals for this leader in the cable industry included better communicating and representing their business operations through a timeless and classic design. As part of the design solution, the space was designed to provide a functional working environment for both executives and technically savvy staff. In addition, an eliptical element on the office floors reinforce the continuous line of communication that represents the Client’s core business, and highlights the public support areas, such as pantries, copy rooms, and collaboration/huddle rooms. Features of the space include a 50,000 square foot data center with a 7,000 square foot network operations center. Executive offices, overlooking the Washington Dulles International Airport, and interior offices are equipped with a daylight harvesting system, that allows for maximum energy efficiency by having the lights fluctuate according to external conditions. In addition, a fitness center facility with locker rooms was designed to encourage alternative forms of commuting and active lifestyles for employees.
