Rothwell, Figg, Ernst & Manbeck, P.C. moved into a second-generation space with the intention to reuse much of the existing infrastructure However, they had distinct design goals for their new space. The firm wanted an updated transitional look as well as opportunities to incorporate their brand throughout the space. It was also important to have numerous conference areas that have the capability to communicate with national and international clients. The firm also required updated conference and pantry areas for staff and collaborative efforts.
The FOX design team successfully integrated the existing infrastructure with RFEM’s design goals. The welcoming reception area faces the existing interconnecting stair providing a seamless connection between the two floors. The pantry areas are strategically located on the window line, providing access to natural light. The pantry also becomes a place for spontaneous collaboration for the staff. By combining key support areas and the library into central locations, the team opened up additional areas for conference rooms and client access. As a result the team was able to increase the number of conference rooms from six to nine.
