The driving force behind the office relocation for this B2B e-commerce and integration services company’s global headquarters was to rebrand their image. This three and a half floor design incorporates a modern, techno image with conservative finishes. The office environment is predominantly open workstations with an additional executive floor layout with glass-front private offices. The design concept is an extension of their business philosophy of B2B connections and “bringing things together”. The quadrant layout implemented on this Project provided centrally located gathering areas as interaction zones. In conjunction with these areas were the boardrooms and large-scale training room with complete state-of-the art technology. To seamlessly carryout the mission of projecting their image and reinforcing their identity environmental branding was key. Following the conservative approach to finishes in the space custom artwork was designed to display in each of the boardrooms to represent each of the cities around the globe in which GXS has offices. These city scapes reinforce the global reach of the organization and provide a worldwide connection to bring them together.
This project earned a LEED-CI Silver Certification from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).
