Jim Allegro, AIA, IIDA, LEED AP
Principal
As a founding Principal of FOX Architects, Jim brings a passion for design and client service to each project. His hands-on approach allows him to fully understand clients’ needs and challenges in order to create a design that achieves their goals and enhances their business. For his clients’ projects, Jim serves as the Client-Relationship Manager, and focuses on satisfying his clients’ needs to ensure a high quality project and complete service experience. As Principal-in-Charge on his projects, he has complete project accountability, and guarantees complete leadership involvement throughout the duration of his clients’ projects.
Jim’s design expertise is focused on the unique requirements and culture of the law firm sector as well as the government contractor sector. His hands-on approach finds him engrossed in the programming phase where he further understands his clients business and how they run their daily operations. Understanding their culture and ways the workplace can work for his clients is one of his key drivers on every project. He specializes in incorporating sustainable elements into his designs, beyond counting LEED points but to further advocate for the sustainable workplace.

Fun Fact
To further his commitment to sustainability, Jim recently installed rain-harvesting barrels in his own backyard. He also has participated in many national and international design competitions, winning the Computer Delineation Award for Architectural Record in 1996 and the Grand Prize in the Takasaki Astro-Park International Competition in 1992.
